The Wheel of the Year represents the eight Solar Sabbats or celebrations that align with ancient Earth magick and the movement of the celestial bodies. It is a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, and it is represented by a wheel with eight spokes.
The Wheel of Year consists of four Solar Festivals (the solstices and equinoxes) and four Seasonal Festivals, which mark significant transitions during the year. Many traditions in the Southern Hemisphere consider Samhain to be the start of the Wheel, although this can vary depending on individual or group traditions.
- Samhain
- Yule (Winter Solstice)
- Imbolc
- Spring Equinox (Ostara)
- Beltane
- Summer Solstice (Litha)
- Lughnasadh (Lammas)
- Fall Equinox (Mabon)
Magdalene will introduce the Wheel of the Year, exploring its significance, history, and purpose. She will provide context for each of the Sabbats, delving into their rituals, customs, traditions, correspondences, and symbols. Through her teachings, Magdalene will explain the connection between ancient practices and modern science, offering insights that bridge the past and present. She will also outline a meditative journey, highlighting its alchemical aspects, and guide participants in celebrating and honouring each Festival with reverence and joy.
As part of this journey, Magdalene will lead meditative practices that connect you to the ancient circles of the Earth and the wisdom of your ancestors. This alchemical process is designed to reawaken the Feminine and Solar Temples within you. You will receive handouts with Aromatic recipes, plant medicine guides, Druidic rituals, and meditative techniques.
Join us for these Temples to celebrate these significant times of the year. With heart and hearth, we welcome you back to the magick of Earth Harmony—reconnecting with the rhythms of the Earth, Sun, Moon, and Cosmos.
